Being the professional and official football team of St. Louis, Missouri, the St. Louis Rams is currently the member of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL) in its West Division. As the St. Louis Rams started playing in 1936 from the state of Cleveland, Ohio, the team which was a kind of franchise of the Cleveland Rams team was being considered as the re-emergence of the Cleveland Rams which too was a charter member of the second American Football League. Although both Cleveland rams and St. Louis Rams have the same owner, still NFL granted membership to the teams as besides the four players namely Harry “The Horse” Mattos, Mike Sebastian, Stan Pincura and William “Bud” Cooper, none of the other members of the previous Cleveland Rams have joined the new St. Louis Rams team. Since 1980 to 94, for 15 continuous seasons, the rams have played nearby the south suburbs of Orange County and played home games at the Anaheim Stadium under the name of Los Angeles Rams and then before the beginning season of 1995, they moved to east St. Louis.
