Based in Tampa, Florida, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which is popularly known as the Bucs is the official and professional American Football franchise of the city and at present is the member of the National Football Conference in the National Football League and belongs to its southern division. As an expansion team along with the Seattle Seahawks the team joined the NFL in the year of 1976 and as a part of the 1976 expansion plan, they played their first season in the SFC west. Afterwards they became part of the NFC after switching conferences with the Seattle Seahawks. Under the ownership of Malcom Glazer and headed by the coach Raheem Morris, the team is playing for their home games in Tampa at the Raymond James Stadium. In 1976, the team had lost its first 26 games, as the franchise entered the league in that year and again have suffered 14 continuous losses after a brief glory in the year of 1970s and early 1980s. However, at the end of 2002, they proved to be consistent contenders and winners of Super Bowl XXXVII for 10 long years. Later in 2010, the team has again surfaced to glory gaining the greatest single-season turnaround in the history of franchise.
